The workforce of the future will be made up of organizations and individuals who would be constantly aiming towards giving consumers what they want using digital platforms and technologies innovatively. Not only creating a niche for themselves but also coming up with new ideas to serve those niches. But the downside can be the risks when innovation outpaces regulation and can lead to legal issues.
Why do we need to build capabilities for the workforce
The constant changing and disruptive market landscape, intensive use of data, new AI-based technologies have made it a must to build the workforce’s capabilities for strategic growth.
Going forth with new technologies will lead to big changes in the way we work. Companies will have to proactively address these issues. Automation can lead to cultural labor issues due to anxiety and workforce displacement.
Organizations will have to create a learning culture to minimize employee resistance and maximize buy-in. Learning organization is one that as an ongoing process adapts to new technologies which will lead to better performance and help face future challenges. A learning mindset helps employees expand their thinking horizon, create synergies and improve teamwork.
So, it is advisable that when any organization is still at its planning stage for a digital transformation it should also plan for effective communication, training and development, and a cultural shift for the successful implementation of its digital initiatives.
